There’s some known side effects when you drink beer, like ethanol intoxication, and diarrhea when you drink the sediment of vintage beer, but other than that, can you get really sick from drinking beer? If so, what are the causes?

No known human pathogens can survive in beer.

Yes. When you drink too much of it in a short amount of time

You can have intolerances that appear to be sickness. Otherwise, unless there was extremely poor quality assurance during bottling (ie, allowing rat feces into the bottle), the conditions in a beer are very poor for the vast majority of pathogens that can cause illness.

Nope. Impossible.
And any rumours one might have heard about me having been sick once after a heavy night of beer drinking is pure gossip and not true in any way

Most of you didn’t read the OP.

The few responders that actually read the post are correct. Additionally, some people are allergic to alcohol - which can result in a slew of adverse effects that you wouldn’t expect from any amount of drinking.
