recently was at the Trappist in Oakland and they had these great small Cantillon glasses that they served the kriek in. I’ve been looking all morning online for them but came up short. Any ideas? Or any ideas where I can find their glassware in general?

What do they look like? Was it like a tumbler or a stemmed glass with a bowl? 7/3/2009 9:09:46 AM

It was a long stem glass, almost like a wine glass. 7/3/2009 9:20:28 AM

sort of. you can see it in the background of this pic:

but that glass in your shot is nice. I’d settle for pretty much any of their glassware.

There are 2 different stemmed cantillon glasses. One is like a bowl, where as the other one is tappered towards the top and is like a sherry glass. The sherry like one is probably the best tasting glass in the world and is probably my favourate glass. My problem is that i constantly break them. 7/3/2009 9:24:33 AM

I brought three back, one for myself and two as gifts... only one still exists. It’s a great glass but it’s almost too fragile to use.

Try Cantillon themselves, they had them for sale in the shop when I was there a few weeks ago, they’ll probably ship you a box.

Yeah, the stem is very thin which makes them quite fragile, I don’t use mine purposely for that reason. I’m even cautious when I get another glass out from the cabinet coz I know it’s only a matter of time before I break it. Guess it’ll give me a reason to go back though.

Thanks for the tips/help

i tried Cantillon directly and got this response:

Hello,

We will begin to sell some products on line in a few weeks, certainly for the t-shirt and probably for glasses.

Best regards,

Jean Van Roy
