I opened my first bottle since it was released and there was a fair amount of carbonation in it. It was really freaking good. I don’t mean to start a LA carbonation tread, just wanted to let others know who were holding theirs back since it seemed to be released dead flat. There was a small but actual head that formed and the carb level seemed about right on for the style.

I’ve been burned with flat ’09 and ’10 bottles but this beer is damn good when properly carbonated - bourbon county stoutesque IMHO.

I know what you mean. I am curious if my bottle just happened to be carbonated or if most of the ’09 are coming to life now. |
