What style beer do you think would pair nicely with a fromager d’affinois?

Gueuze would be a great match for cheeses of this type.

Fromager d’affinois, being similar to Brie, would benefit alongside a bottle of Gueuze, unblended Lambic or even fruit Lambic, as well as Witbiers, weissebiers and even some fruit beers that lean towards a tarter, rather than sweeter edge.

Is it legal in the USA even though it’s made of pasteurized cow’s milk? Sounds interesting, what’s it costing you?

Anyone know of any websites that give generic guidelines for beer-cheese pairings?

I really don’t have much experience beyond, "Hey, I’m tipsy and kind of hungry. What’s in the bottom drawer of the fridge?"

The book "The Brewmasters Table" by Gareth Oliver, brewmaster at Brooklyn Brewery, does a great job on not only delivering examples of beer and cheese pairing but also providing insight in why and the reasoning behind it all.
