Sanctions, brah.

You remember what happened after sanctions last time dont you?

The greatest collection of talent ever assembled on a college football team in history.

... it took several years after those sanction came down and Shapiro became involved the moment they expired... yet another sugar daddy in a long line of Miami sugar daddys. No wonder the team was able to attract eight first round running backs with their shitty facilities. Terrible recruiting, by the way. Who needs eight great running backs? Anyway, Shapiro isnít there anymore and neither are any more sugar daddys. Bigger-time sanctions on their way this time and Miami will continue to not matter... and, no, they havenít mattered for at least five, maybe seven years. Only a few more years and youíll be sounding just like a pathetic Golden Domer. Have a nice day!

We kept making fun of it on twitter last night.

That is a bitching shirt.

They changed it!

The one I was referencing was the full shirt of a dog.

It was so white trash.

More of a redneck thing. White trash is West Virginia, and anywhere jorts are worn.

And yet Iowa has more street cred than your football team..

Iowa State.
í

Itís Kirk Ferentz weakness. 6-7 overall against ISU

That and NW apparently.

Despite that, not hard to see which team has the street cred in side by side comparisons.

But different conferences, different disadvantages, different teams.

And for Godís sake, stop using the term street cred.

Cheese, cut a brother a break. The term "street cred" just made its way to Iowa. Let him have his fun.

Really telling graphic during the game:

Miss Stateís record against the SEC WEST

2-0 against Ole Miss, winless against the rest.

Even more telling, 3 of the past 4 national champions have come from this division, LSU, AU and Bama, and Arkansas is not a slouch either. I doubt Iowa, and letís not even discuss UCF, could run with that level of opponent either.

We got beat, plain and simple, but it isnít like we are playing in C-USA...

Cheese, be careful as the butt hurt denizens of crappy second rate conferences will attack you for stating the truth about our SEC. Then again, if I were a grad of a big east school I would avoid conference talk as well. And it is 3 of 5 with UF taking 2.

Looked to me like LSU just wore your guys down in the 2nd half. Depth is not a luxury at SC or MSU, yet.

Weíre starting to get depth in a few positions... DLine mainly which is REALLY nice.
We have no depth anywhere, thanks to Bill Stewartís recruiting staff. Thatís gonna change... faster than you can say "fucking quick!"

Eric, your above post might have been good if your facts were right, but alas theyíre not. That 2001 team were made up of kids recruited in í98, í99, etc. Shapiro didnít come into the picture til about 2002. He had nothing to do with the recruitment of those 8 great running backs, he didnít come til a lil after. They just came to Miami because theyíre from Miami. They bleed that orange and green just lime yours truly. Weíll be back. Too much talent down here not too. Deep down you know this to be true, if your honest with yourself. Not sure if you can be though.

Your grasping at straws. Miami sucked forever... then, for twenty years, they were really good. Then, they sucked again for eight years and counting... and the sanctions havenít even come down yet.

You sound like a Golden Domer. History is your friend.

High school kids around the country donít even remember the last time Miami mattered... unless they were following college ball when they were nine-years-old. Even if they were, they were rooting for their local team and if they were a hard-core nine-year-old, they might remember Miami winning one championship and blowing another.

Since then, eight different schools have won national championships. LSU, Florida and USC have won two. Thatís what high school kids remember. Miami is currently the 4th best football school in the state of Florida and hasnít won a bowl game in five years.

Even if Miami wins the sanctions bowl today, it wonít matter. It would have an asterisk next to it. Ohio State is short-handed and their infractions werenít even nearly as severe as Miamiís.

West Virginia has a more victorious history than Miami and we have absolutely no in-state talent. WVU is the winningest college football program to not win a national championshop... Virginia Tech included... and Miami is Techís bitch. But, thatís history and I donít cling to it. So fire away at it.

Youíre a Miami Domer.

You should root for your alma mater since itís won more games in the last couple years... including a bowl game, but whatever makes you feel good.

There might be room for UCF in the Big East with Pitt and Syracuse leaving for the ACC...Syracuse will surely stay in the middle of the ACC for football and dominate in basketball.

The Big East will cease to exist once the final conference shuffling is complete. I honestly believe we will be left with what is now the Pac12, Big 10, ACC and SEC, with UCF still on the outside hoping to get in.
