No history, Swearinger is a clean football player, and never really steps out of line. He is a big hitter over the middle and definitely will be missed.

On a side note, Spurrier said today that Shaw is starting again... Should be interesting.

Question: How much does it matter which QB starts for the Cocks? The backup looks just as solid.

ASU came into Missouri with a supposedly high-octane offense. Instead, Sheldon Richardson (he of the "old man football" quote) played the game of his life and our S Kentronte Walker was SEC defensive player of the week. So there is at least a chance that things could be interesting.

And there is always the hope our OC Yost will finally unleash the offense. It’s been very conservative so far, for reasons best known to him and his hair.

It matters in the sense that they are two totally different offenses that will be run depending on who is the QB. Shaw you get the zone read, expect 200 yds passing 80 yards running by Shaw. Thompson, expect Fun-N-Gun 350 yards passing, long bombs.

Truthfully, I think Spurrier is playing mind games. I really don’t think their is anyway Shaw plays. But, he wants you guys to have to prepare for the zone read some.

How about we quit playing around and drop "student" not "athlete?"

I’d be surprised -- not shocked, just surprised -- if either guy gets those kinds of numbers on Missouri’s defense, the way it’s been playing.

No doubt Pinkel will be playing the same game, as far as which QB starts. And we also are looking at Franklin the runner being hurt versus backup Berkstresser the passer being a solid option B. Considering the pain-killer kerfuffle last week I expect Franklin to start, in pain, with a fat chip on his shoulder.

By the way, looking very good for me being in Orlando next weekend. For the first time. Hopefully Redlight Red Light will suddenly re-open in time.
