A pub in Tokyo sells it for ¥4500--about $58. Reasonable, I’d say, compared to this nonsense!

Insane.

Wonder how much they paid for it? Maybe I should take advantage of them and try to help finance my vacation this summer. Little boy has to buy a seat this year, and he ain’t getting a job anytime soon...

EDTI: Plese nobody buy this. Feed the insanity, and it will only get worse. You can get DL for a reasonable price / trade.

Some places just like to have crazy stuff on their bottle list. They put things like this on the list and then put a crazy high price so it can stay on the list. IF someone does buy it then well they made a really high profit so they could always just buy another bottle and do it again.

I hope somebody does buy it and so feeds the trend, so that prices for these überbeers continue to climb. Just for comedic value!

I realise these are sky-high prices, even if they are from former years, but they’re generally not available in Europe, so here’s your chance. (Cracked Kettle, now closed, for awhile had the most recent Dark Lord selling for EUR 50 (USD 67.))

Cheers, Martin (Brussels)

FYI - I am in no way associated with the Beer Temple; and have never paid more than EUR 20 (USD 27) for a bottle myself but I am generally happy when harder-to-get stuff makes it to the Benelux and often pay for USA/Scandinavian macros in the secondary market...

If you’d have posted that today then I would have thought that it was an April fool joke.
