I never really chased the Top 50 here in any serious way, but checked it several months ago and realized I was up to 43, which put me into the "Most Top 50 Beers Sampled" list. Since then, I figured I might as well figure out how to get the rest, and have some fun with it.

Sure enough, the Top 50 is a constantly evolving list and Iím back down to 40 (thanks to the Framboos, Whiskey Hunahpuís, and Wild Turkey Hel & Verdoemenis- I think). However, it looks like I have (or my tasting group has) 6 of my unrated 10 on deck for various tastings, so I could be back up on that list again soon. I have to admit, itís been figuring out how to try these and Iíve had some great stuff along the way.

So what about the rest of you? Do you chase the Top 50 specifically, or just try to get as much great beer as possible and any Top 50 status is just a happy coincidence?

As another question, which of your unrated Top 50 will be the biggest challenges? For me, itís probably going to take some well-timed traveling to ever get a hold of Pliny the Younger, Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout, Zhukovís Final Push, or Pilot Series Passionfruit and Dragonfruit Berliner Weisse.

Havenít really checked it in a long time. Iím surprised to see I still have 35/50 and 5 more are on it that I haven in my back log that I will most likely never post on here. I used to enjoy seeking out the top 50, but so much .rar factors into the score that I choose to scroll past.

Iím chasing my own Top 50: The Top 50 IPAs on Ratebeer. All the fun, but less whale hunting.

Looks like Iím going to be ISO a growler of Fat Heads Headhunter IPA pretty soon.

Of the Top 15 IPAs Iím only missing #12, the abovementioned Head Hunter IPA, and #15 which is Founders Harvest Ale.

Not exactly, but if they come my way, thatís cool. Right now Iím on the list with 44. Iím missing Framboos, Passion/Dragon Berliner, Vanilla Bourbon Dark Lord, Old Chimney King Henry Reserve, Heady Topper, and Armand Zomer.

Framboos, Good King Henry, and Zomer are attainable, Iím sure, but I donít have the firepower or cash to trade for them.

Heady Topper would be easy to trade for, Iím sure, but I just donít feel like dealing with it.

Passion/Dragon Iím hoping to get at the Cajun Sourfest.

Vanilla Bourbon Dark Lord may make a showing at the Great Taste. If not, Iíll have to wait until I maybe go to a Dark Lord Day sometime.

So no, I guess, Iím not really chasing them.

Does harvest get bottled these days? I know it has been but Iíve never seen that on with mine own two eyes.
