The site works great on a computer though, just remembered the call for pictures while at a tasting last night and had my phone so I figured I’d try and get in the habit of doing it that way.

unfortunately, that’s the problem

opera mini fixes that issue, if you want to to do that for now.

I submit the occasional picture. Let me know whether the format by which I do it works for you admins or you would prefer I do it another way.

-I take a picture of the bottle with my Android.
-I crop the photo with my Android.
-I attach it to an e-mail (sent from my Android) with the beer’s/entry’s url in the subject line.
-"Photo courtesy of hopscotch. Cheers! -Eric" is the body of the email.
-email sent to photos@ratebeer.com

Are you guys screwing with me? I tried two different emails to send from via my phone!

I see the 2 pictures I’ve uploaded now, but the thumbnails are horrible, just a blurry mess. Is there a way to prevent that? I used to send in pictures of the same quality, and they always came out fine... How do I know that the picture has been submitted? I just used that upload picture feature for Drakes Alpha Session and there’s no indication if it accepted my picture.

Note from me: the Android app now supports uploading of photos directly! Just snap a picture with your phone and the admins will receive them to publish them on the site.

I do agree with Borrestijn that those thumbs aren’t very appealing. Probably needs some tweaking there.
