OK, I am not a huge lambic expert though I’ve had my fair share and am wondering about Armand. Is it worth seeking out? How easy is it to find? Pricey? Trade value? |
You mean Armand 4? |
Oh, I realise I never answered your original question. What is "worth", right? They’re all very good lambics. But then again, there’s also a lot of very good other lambics. So I guess something is worth what the biggest fool is prepared to give for it... |
Point being, Armand’s goal never was to sell for that price. See his better half for that. The beers were good, were they 24€ good? no. Would I pay more than that if I were to try it? probably not. Pricing remains one of my biggest pet peeve with 3F. |
Thanks guys, so my best bet to try it someday is to have generous friends ;) like I said I am not a huge lambic guy but while in Belgium figured I’d try to seek out some interesting stuff |

I had one this yr, paid 50euro 3yrs ago. Good but not 50 euros worth |
If you are not a huge lambic fan then you could certainly get more bang for your buck by buying some Cantillon/Tilquin/Girardin or as Tim said, venture into some of the pubs that serve lambic the right way. |
want to get some tilquin in town and maybe Schaebeekse Kriek... |
