4 good games? What, you guys came with low expectations?
Yes, I came with low expectations, 1st group games in tournaments tend to be defensive and most teams are happy simply not to lose their first game. And clearly you werenít drinking enough during the games to make them MORE interesting.
As for my not REALLY following football and therefore my opinion being less valid, well, I suppose itís like someone on here with 10,000 ratings saying to someone with only 100 ratings, "youíre opinion isnít valid of a beer until you get to 10k" You can say it, youíll look a bit of a douche, but you can say it.
Also, to take each game by itself:-
Poland vs Greece - this wasnít exciting? 2 sendings off, 2 penalties, one of which was missed, refereeing errors, a complete about turn by the Greeks in the second half? Whatís not to like?
Russia vs Czech Republic - watching Russia play was very entertaining. Good footballers, even Arshavin looked good
Denmark vs Netherlands - The Dutch were one of the pre-tournament favourites and they lost. Now they will have to beat their biggest rivals in the Germans in their next match otherwise there is a good chance they will be going home. Lots of missed chances, Van Persie not being able to stand up whilst shooting and not having a right foot.
Germany vs Portugal - again one of the pre-tournament favourites struggling to find their way past a Portugese team that looked dangerous on the break. Probably the least exciting of the 4 games so far.
But if as I say the first games tend to be the least exciting, then this is a good omen for the rest of the tournament.
Anyway, they were a damn sight more exciting than the opening games of South Africa 2010 which was a snooze-a-thon for most of the first round
