Just in case anyone is interested in obscure country ticks, the sole brewery of French Guiana is doing an apparently one-time export of its Weiti beer (a Belgian wit) to Canada, although it doesn’t say exactly where: |
country of the trappers and maple syrup ... |
Is it being distributed through the SAQ? |
Originally posted by pushkinwowThe article is pretty vague, but I would assume so. |

Hello Guys, to end your speculation, yes, one of their beers will be assembled in the 2014 Craft BeerAdvent Calendar. |

Originally posted by derfinziSo, here’s the info on the Advent Calendar: http://www.craftbeerimports.ca/craft/beeradvent-calendar.php Looks pretty interesting. But it says that to obtain one, just "talk to your local retailer." So how does a foreigner like me get his hands on one? |
Short of trading, not sure. It’s developed a bit of a cult following. Many stores do deposits to ensure you get one now. I dont know the distribution, but I know it was available in BC, AB, SK last year. |
Originally posted by dresden Hmmm. The next question is what else is in there. I know the Vancouver people are down for 24 new interesting beers. But how do I know I’m not just going to get 24 different versions of Corona? What was in the box last year? |
