What are the best hotels near the downtown happenings? Any suggestions are appreciated!

I have stayed at Madison Concourse (Which is amazing but pricey).. and I recommend that. But I believe Double Tree right on the square is a solid hotel with good location.. that is highly sought after for GTMW.

If someone or a couple people got rooms there, it would be very easy to carry a bottle or two downtown for the night and share them with/as a group at some point..

(nudge nudge)..

Blargh, both are booked up!

And the hotel Iím actually speaking of is Best Western on the Park..

But, I have been to the Double Tree to hang out with and pick stuff up from the Half Acre crew last year (2011)..

So, I guess I advise both..

But, Best Western is right on the square.. Madison Concourse is a block or two off it.. and Double tree is a few more blocks off it..

If you want to hang out at the Brickhouse (or make a run to Rileyís) the Doubletree is a good base of operations. Itís not a terrible walk down to the Dane, Maduroís, Old Fashioned, etc or there are about five buses that run that way on a regular basis.

So are we going to plan something for Friday night? Danny should be getting in Thursday night so we can attend most of the activities on Friday during the day.

Not sure.

I donít think as many people will end up at Sheraton this year..

Plus, several folks have to get up early for set up duty or to set up with the breweries they are associated with..

...Might be beneficial to pack a bottle or two for the evening to carry around, no?

Kinda on the fly, so to speak..
