sn’t it great all the differences between all the Lambic Brewers...

So far, we’ve finished (or partially) finished a Giradin BL, 3 Fontein Kreik, Oude Gueuze, and Vintage, and a Oude Beersel Gueuze... a 50x4 is up next...

5 hours sat in sunshine... in back yard... and I just had to say... love the Gueuze....

and.. the buzz is nice... not bashed over head with a hammer...

Just keep alternating with something bland to soak up the acids ... when the "buzz" migrates south tonight, you might not be quite so happy.

Sounds awesome, though! I think I’ll see if I have a Girardin Black chilled in the back of the fridge - it’s a beautiful afternoon here in Toronto and that might pair well with my view of the harbour and the lovely young ladies jogging, cycling and blading. thumbs up

I rang around to get some Cantillon during the week, just the gueuze to see what the differences were... I was supposed to be in Belgium last week, but due to things happening in life, I was unable to go.

It would have been nice to try some Cantillon along side.

Btw, these weren’t all 750’s! And, I have no hangover this morning!

Still... more BBQ/smoker this afternoon, and more beer - mainly I shall be drinking Meantime bits.

anyway, have a good sunday all!

um, just opened something I like, Moriau Gueuze... from Boon... funny how this one wasn’t mentioned at my Boon visit, absolutely nothing mentioned of this when I was there, a beer that Steve brought back from Dranken Geers; rather good me thinks. So, who’s Moriau, the grandfather I bet... Joris, Tim??? any info would be appreciated...

I have a 750 of the Kreik... looking very tempting...

oh, whilst I’m on the subject of Boon, there are a few of the brewery guys coming over, and they are looking to have a wander around... much as I did with Xavier, so... if anyone fancies coming you’ll be more than welcome to join, for wander and food.

There’s a LOT of discussion about that, you know, Phil?

Joris, What’s the story with the Moriau Gueuze/Geuze?

Moriau is the name of retired Lambic blenders that now commissions Gueuze from Boon. I guess that’s the reason it wasn’t mentioned in your visit. 5/11/2008 11:49:44 AM
