I noticed Mikkeller and other European beer sites have stopped shipping brews (for sale on website) into the US. Has anyone who has been trading w/ US based members had any issues? Any boxes seized, held up extended periods in customs, or any other occurrences of note? |
Maybe kraddel can comment on BelgiuminaBox?? |
Big shakeup in shipping bier currently on a federal and state level unfortunately. I think you’ll see less and less of it done legally until people care enough to throw enough money at it to make it a thing again. |
I have gotten boxes from Greece and Scotland in the past couple of weeks without problem. |
I’ve had a few west coast buddies have their stuff shipped to me (east coast) and then I relabel and send it to its final destination. Not sure if west coast delivery is still an issue. |
With the US Post Office losing billions of $$ every year it’s ridiculous for them not to modernize their rules and ship alcohol |
Yeah I also got a box from Germany about a week ago, slicker than snot |
I only heard that people on the west coast were still having boxes confiscated, which has been a problem for at least a year now. |
A couple of years back I had send a box to the States which was confiscated. That was a damn good box and loosing those beers made me re think the whole shipping beers to the states thing. |
Just sent a huge box to Indiana and it arrived without trouble (shipped from Canada) last week |
I had numerous issues having beer shipped to California (through LAX), so ended up having someone from the east coast accept it for me (I think it went through JFK), then they just shipped it to me across the states. |
