This was at Beavertown yesterday where they had a Lervig tap takeover so I guess it was a way of adding additional taps.

A fire engine ... http://www.pouryourpint.com/what-we-do/

6 taps, 3 Beavertown, 3 Lervig.

You buy a credit card as I mentioned and just stick it and pour yourself.

I think it was set to half pint as standard pour and then as you pour it increases the units 0.1/0.2 up to 0.5 (being the full pour).

So I was basically pouring 1/5th pints for 50/60p or thereabout.

All the beers can be set to different values in terms of pouring cost.

When you’re finished the machine tells you your balance.

eg £6.44 remaining.

There was a glass wash station just beside the Fire Engine.

This really is the future - more so than garlic bread!

Just to check...Mother Arch 2.0 now opens at 9am, not 10am - right? We’ll probably need to boost at 11am next Saturday (hopefully destitute as most of you fuckers will be at CBC).

Suprised no one has mentioned Beavertown as an alternative for all these massive groups/toilet queues. Not the same "crawl" mentallity involved, but surely has the capacity.

Hopeing to hit up Beavertown later next Saturday for the firs time...

Yes, Kernel opens at 9am. Then BBNo at 10am, then the rest at 11am.

Beavertown is great. But it’s all alone up there. Also, at this point, they have tons of space overall, but the actual bar is small and the lines can get pretty long. Hopefully they install a few more taps or figure out a way to speed it up. And IIRC their toilet situation isn’t drastically better than the places in Bermondsey.

They had a fucken fire truck self serve yesterday!

We need more of the fire truck !!!

You could buy a £5/10/20 credit card and pour a 0.1 pint if you so desired - so tick friendly !!!

You could basically pick up fresh keg ticks for about 40/50p a go !

Would be great in the Craft Beer Co, instead of paying the eye watering £6/7 per half for keg beers you could pay a more manageable £1/2 or so for a smaller measure, great idea.

Thanks Colin, wow, that does indeed sound like the future of beer ticking.

Yeah, really liked it. Mr Bois generously left me his card, which had a couple of quid left on it and I managed to get four more beers for that. The only thing was that the dispense was not fully metered in the increments you get charged for - it only displays to one decimal point. At least, not as far as I could work out. So, the tap is continuous pour but the meter clicks over on 0.1 (pint?) increments & when it clicks over the requisite amount is deducted fom the balance on the card. So you get 0-0.1 for one amount, 0.101 to 2.000 for the next amount, although you don’t see that on the meter. So it’s difficult to get the full amount you’ve paid for without running over to the next volume increment and charging band. I think that’s the way it works.

Wonder how they square this up with the third pint multiple UK legal serving measures?

Would imagine the self serving aspect negates the rules of third/half/full.

Sounds incredible...

I guess if you’re self serving you’ve paid a flat price to drink X amount from the kegs - rather than a displayed price for a measure of a certain beer.

Were there mega queues for it or swifter than a normal bar setup?

No - super quick.

I went up 4 times and served myself straight away 3 out of 4, had to wait for one guy in front the other time!

Fire truck sounds amazing, does it have a water dispenser?
