Help with spice additions for a pumpkin porter

I recently made a Pumpkin beer that turned out pretty well.

Use Sugar Pumpkins (also known as Pie Pumpkins) rather than the kind you use for carving. Cut the pumpkin up into 1 inch cubes, coat in brown sugar and roast for about 60 minutes.

Spice wise I used cloves and cinnamon sticks in the boil. The cloves definitely add some good character.
