Recently had my first encounter with Lost Abbey’s Angels’s Share (Brandy barrel) and I didn’t like it much, not being a fan of hard liquor (and certainly not with bubbles).

You are all a bunch of pussies is what I think.

(Except I can’t drink Cantillon. I will cry if you make me.)

Amazingly the BlackWater series has a lot of sweet big beers (Iniquity-blechh!!), the best of which may be the Oat, and the MoKah, these two may make the rest redundant.

ST has balls for even making the Series though. Imperial Stout with lactose sugar?? They have a policy of ’new beer in, old beer out’ though so some of these will be gone.

Had my first DFH Immort Ale. I don’t get it. Just disgusting.

Barley johns dark knight returns for me. Incredibly underwhelmed by it.

Pretty much anything by The Bruery.

Work had me in California. While there, I visited Beachwood BBQ, an excellent brewpub. And enjoyed Russian River for the first time. Blind Pig, to be exact. While delicious, the house IPA (Hop-Jitsu, I think it was called) was even more delicious, so I was left disappointed by Russian River. But, only relatively speaking.

Good choice in Beechwood BBQ. There are so many breweries out there stepping up their game right now. Some of the classics are getting some serious competition!
