Yes, Hitler is ultimate evil. But that is not, and should never be confused with, unspeakable evil.
Yes, product packaging lacks the gravitas of a university history department, or a proper memorial for the departed. But we must stay free to speak of this kind of evil at any time. We must stay free to ridicule it, at times. We must stay free to excoriate it, rail against it, insult it, weep over it--to respond however we’re moved at the time. We won’t all weep. Not every time.
Is this label in poor taste? Probably. Is it pro-Hitler? Almost certainly not. But to condemn--much less censor--this label because it’s not anti-Hitler the way we would like to see everything be anti-Hitler doesn’t help the conversation.
Simply put? At some point, we might need everyone on board in some fight against fascism. That means even stupid, shallow people with bad social judgment. Slapping their hands now won’t exactly make them feel welcome later. If we’re to guarantee freedoms for all our fellow men, we must occasionally cringe and slap our foreheads at their actions.

No its not. One of them is a depiction of your god that your religion says shouldn’t be depicted, the other is a depiction of someone who killed 6 million innocent people.

Hitler on a label is offensive to me in many ways, but it is no worse than stupid hippies walking around with a murderer on their shirt(Che). But I wouldn’t even think of censoring in either case... you have a right to be ignorant and offensive.
That said, I would give the beer a go.

How do you guys feel about a show like South Park, depicting Saddam and Hitler and a crazed Mel Gibson? I think people have somewhat lost their sense of what is comic satire, and what the positive purpose of such could be. The best comedians used to routinely satirize things people were afraid to talk openly about, which used to be almost everything.
Though still not sure how this beer label ties in with satire, it’s kind of just ’there.’ I do enjoy some instances of Hitler being made to look like a boob though. Like many men of power, his mind-sickness and charisma were what made him almost unstoppable, not any particular intelligence or talent.
