A friend of mine had a question and as I’m not much of a brewer, I’m looking for some help. What type(s) of hops impart those lucious stonefruit (peach, mango) flavors to a brew...particularly an IPA? Thanks brewers!!

Thanks! Is cluster the only one? Is it readily available?

I don’t think Cluster imparts that kinds of flavours and aromas at all. I would rather use Galaxy and/or Citra.

It really doesn’t. I would choose what VsXsV suggests. Or if you want something spectacular - Nelson Sauvin.

Peach and Mango - definitely Citra, it tastes like mango juice (or maybe guava juice). Galaxy are similar although more pineapply.

I’ll second Nelson Sauvin hops for this.

You want tropical fruit and stone fruit? Citra and Amarillo are the way(s) to go.

We just did an IPA with 2/3 citra and 1/3 amarillo for every addition and it’s pure peach and mango aroma.

Citra would be your best bet. That hop brings out huge mango flavors to me. Galaxy is orange/grapefruit imo. Centennial when used in combination with galaxy can really get some tropical notes as well.
