How are people feeling about Roth

Wife and I stopped by Friday night, tried the Sex Viking, Dopplebock with rye, once again I left with a meh feeling. I always want to like local, but I can’t get behind these guys. Everthing has been ok at best and I’m probably being nice with that.

Funny you should inquire, somebody shared a 22 of Dark Construct with me last week and it was a total infected mess of a beer. Drain po, fo sho.

This is disappointing to read as I just picked up Sex Viking, Dark Construct and Foe Hammer.

Completely agree

I’ve not had anything by them that I enjoyed. I agree with the local support but it seems like there are a lot of people jumping into "professional" brewing in NC that have no commercial experience and end up biting off more than they can chew. I cannot attest to the Roth’s prior experience but it seems like things need to be straightened out. I wish all of them the best but I personally know of probably a half dozen breweries set to open this year that should not be. Also, the Roth bottle prices are not appealing...
