I usually place the beer in the wine chiller until it reaches 40 degrees and then I pour the beer into whatever the recommended glassware (according to this site) is. I usually sip the beer at first and let it warm up. I tend to sip on it until it is around the recommended temperature for the style and then enjoy it. 11/8/2009 5:44:59 PM

I drink all my beers out of this. 11/8/2009 5:47:39 PM

Glasses seem to pile up over the years--souvenirs, freebies, spiffs, presents from friends and family. So I really try to get mileage out of as many of them as I can.

But I’m definitely not picky about matching styles precisely between beer and glass. I tend to like a convex lip and a narrow mouth on a glass if I’m gonna use it a lot.

I keep my house pretty cool during the winter (low 60s), and, this time of year, beer often never even makes it into the fridge in the first place.

While I have several styles of glasses, I tend to keep with my 33 cl tulip. The brew is always chilled but I like to let it sit for a few outside of the fridge before I indulge. I take bigger sips while reviewing for whatever reason. 11/8/2009 8:09:45 PM

More and more, I tend to start from the warm or cellar-cool side of things... I do not like to ’fridge stun’ my beer which makes it seem watery, inexpressive and the hops brassy.

And I just grab whatever chalice or chunky tumbler feel comfortable in the moment. Westmalle glass gets a ton of mileage, and I will be getting some extra Duvel tulips. Never say no to a nice Weizen glass...

I reckon that if I were to drink straight from the fridge, I might as well be drinking Bud light, or, as long as I am in Japan, 3rd category beer. Can’t taste anything at that temperature. In the winter, it doesn’t even go in the fridge. In the summer, it is set on the "warmest" setting, and still sits out a few minutes before opening.

I drink from the can/bottle on the train (legal in Japan). Unless I happen to have a glass with me, that is.

I drink alot of beers from the bottle when im at home or at work. However if im out in a pub i’ll always drink from a glass, purely depends on the style of beer what glass i ask for/get. I dont like rating beers out of a pint glass, like i’ll ask for a half to rate it and then have a pitn after if i want it. 11/9/2009 3:42:54 AM

Right now, I like drinking from my Weizen glass the most. I also use a dimpled mug and a brandy snifter on occasion (for those German lagers and dark ales, respectively).

Usually I’ll start drinking beer right out of the fridge, and appreciate how the tastes change as it warms.
