The wife is off down to London for the weekend so Iíve decided to attack these Flip-top bottles @ home while she is away: a happy weekend Iím sure.

Hellers Kolsch
Kurzer Alt
Hovels (original)
Darmstadter Braustubíl Pilsner
Leikeim Steinbier
Leikeim Schwarzes
Schwaben Das Schwarze
Klosterbrau Bamberger Schwarzla

If I can manage any normal bottles after that lot theyíll be selected from this:

Sunner Kolsch
Neumarkter Lammsbrau
Hannen Alt (not had one for years)
Hofbrau (Munich) Maibock
Lowenbrau (Munich) Triumphator
Neuzeller Kloster-Brau Lebensfreude
Schmucker Weizen Bock
Stortebeker Stark-Bier

Some nice stuff there, I particularly liked the Hovels, HB Maibock and Leikeim Steinbier. If I were you Iíd start with the Neuzeller Lebensfreude, because contrary what the name indicates (joy of life), itís quite horrible. So take a sip, rate it, pour it down the drain, and start drinking the good stuff. Have a nice weekend!

I think the only person round here you are embarrassing is ...

BH - can you ask your female fan base to keep on topic please!

I understand town beer tasters and groupies etc - but really !

I think the bit about the wife being away sent this lady crazy and she just couldnít stop herself joining RB and trying to weasle her way into my life!

I thought it might be a bit sweet with a name like that (Mosel wines and all that stuff: Liebfraumilch), but I hate throwing stuff away, but Iíll take your advice and drink it first, was going to have the Kolsch as my starter because of the delicate flavours most appear to have.

Hovels is an old friend and I used to know it well, weíve been apart far too long.

Thanks for posting and yes, I will have a nice weekend, even if my íJoy of Lifeí is in London with her friends.

Sorry: didnít check back onto this forum to see if the thread had grown any.

The bottles have now all gone: thanks for the offer of help though!

Just been to Berlin and managed to bring back 11 different beers with me: again no help needed thanks.
