They seem to be killing it in the Polish context

Literally not one single rater from a country outside of Poland has rated that beer, yet.

I’m wouldn’t be surprised if it’s as good as a 4.1 beer, but a 4.4 beer is pretty out there.

If anyone from Poland reads, send me one, I’ll rate it.

I think it’s probably a reflection of what’s available to them. When the vast majority of available beer is average (at best), it makes good beer (or slightly above average by our standards) seem great...which is how a witbier can carry a 3.8 (mostly driven up by Polish raters). It’s all relative. A double-wide is living in luxury when you live in a single-wide.

Wait, a single wide isn’t luxury?

It seems a lot of these raters are just very into Polish beer, I’m sure they can also get lots of good German beers, and there’s many great beers from Central Europe, but there seems to be a strong enthusiasm for Polish stuff.

Anyway, ISO.
