Funny, it looks like there wont necessarily be any good Japanese beer events on mid-late November, but there are good events

1. Happami - in short Homebrew under fall trees in Yoyogi park. A smaller version of the spring event, but still probably 100-150 people will show up (Nov 14)

2. Killer Bee - one of my personal favorite events of the year. 5000 yen gets you entrance to the Yokohama Athletic and Country Club where craft beer takes over literally for one day. You get a pint glass and rare and interesting imported (and now some domestic) craft beer servers are placed through out the club (usually 15-20 different beers) plus beer pong, bowling, etc all included, and a never ending buffet of food. The club is worn down and a bit old, but that is some of the charm of the event - bowling with nothing electronic and the shoes aren’t retro they are just from the 70s. If you want to have fun and have beer this is the event of the year as far as I am concerned.
November 22nd (23rd is a national holiday)

If anyone wants to join either event that doesn’t know how, please BM me.

Happami would also be good for bottle share if people are up for that, but you would have to drink some (very good) home brew as well, as that is what the event is about.

I am around. Lets see who else is around that weekend and plan some beering in the Tokyo vicinity.

Updates since you were here last

1. Devil Craft Brewery finally be serving their beers starting from this weekend

2. Yorocco has expanded and I’ve heard they got better

3. Kyoto Brewing, which opened just as you left in May, is kicking ass making some amazing beers.

4. Anglo Japanese Brewing company in Nagano is finally starting to sell their products beyond the confines of Nozawa Onsen.

GT2 are you around the weekend of 28/29th?

Is Kyoto Brewing available in Tokyo too? When I got to their booth at the craft beer festa in Kyoto earlier this year, they were sold out of everything.

It is readily available in Tokyo. I would say Wiz and Ant N Bee tend to have Kyoto on tap the most frequently, after that maybe Devil Craft.
