One Cascade, one Willammette.

I’ve never had hop plants before, so I don’t even really know what to ask.

-Central Virginia
-The plants have been sun deprived their entire lives but should now get a few hours of direct sun daily.
-They are potted, one vine each, and I don’t have the ability to put them in the ground.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Hops are hearty Dan and can thrive in a variety of climates, and should grow nicely in the Central VA climate. Not planting them is fine and I have had reasonably good yields letting them only grow to about 5’ high using a tomato trellis. Give me a shout if you want to chat more about them.

Yeah, those things will go wild as long as they get some water and sun. As far as the region....just look at Blue Mountain hop farms.
