do we know its pasteurized? I just googled "lips of faith la folie pasteurized" and came up with this thread, a response to another thread on a different website saying it’s not pasteurized, and another website alleging it’s "probably pasteurized".

I’m hoping it’s not, but if it is, it is a different beer according to the guidelines of this site.

I was at the brewery in late May and asked a lot of questions about this. Hopefully I can clear up SOME of the speculation anyway.

* The 750ml bottles were still being done by hand which is why production on La Folie was so limited. Moving them to bombers will allow them to produce more and more La Folie for everyone :)
* The 750ml bottles are no longer being produced, and in late May were NOT available at the brewery. I know of one store in DFW that still has a couple, but these are basically sold out everywhere.
* In the Dallas, TX market our 750ml’s were $18.99 and $19.99 everywhere I saw them. The 22oz bombers were being sold in Fort Collins (where the damn beer is produced!) for about $15-16 so I would be shocked if $10-11 is the correct price for them.
* La Folie will be a slightly different beer every time they produce it, but it is always a blend so consistency is the goal. I tried both the cork and caged version and the new draft of the Lips of Faith series and detected more plum skin in the new batch. It was my favorite of all versions I tried.

I can’t comment on the pasteurization process, but it sounds like hearsay to me.
