ne of the bottles of HotD Dave went for $719.30. Is this the most $$ a bottle of beer has fetched? Some larger bottles may have been sold for more, but this is a 12oz bottle. Plus, it’s not a real "gimmicky" beer, which tends to make the price more impressive. I’m sure a set of vertical epic has been sold for more, but that’s a whole set of 22oz bottles. I don’t really follow beer auctions honestly, but this price seemed out of this world. A case of Dave, not that one would ever exist, would cost over $17,000 at that price.

Also, the Adam Batch #1 went for $122. Is this batch significantly different than later Adam batches?

Did you somehow read from this that I have a problem with the prices or the auctions?

My question about Dave was whether anyone has seen any beer being sold at a higher price, for charity or otherwise.

That was an elaborate hoax.

I do know of 1 bottle that sold for over $1000, though. wink

Damn. Either way, the bottles of Dave are kind of different in that they’re actually going to be consumed (probably), they’re not undrinkable collectors items. That is the interesting thing to me, that I’ve never seen a beer sell for so much simply because of how great it’s supposed to taste, or whatever.

The screenshots were real - the bids were fake. Hoax.

I bought a bottle of that after this auction for $225.00. That was someone having some fun with Ebay.
