One question though, would I get dispensation to skip some venues on the day? I’m an old, weak git these days and there is no way I could stay upright through a jam-packed crawl like this!

Do you mean actually skip and not visit the venue or just not drink at the venue?

Either is of course fine.

It’s worth noting that some of these places have fantastic low ABV options to keep you going.

The Kernel with their London Sour or Table Beer.

Partizan with their Saison Grisette series.

Fourpure with their...wait for it...session IPA.

And if you make it to the Cock Tavern, they usually have sub-4% golden ales/ session IPAs from Howling Hops.

And you can always share beers at these places if you want to try more things (either out of ticking fanaticism or simply curiosity). These breweries will also all have some high ABV beers going, so the sagest move might be to split bottles.

To give you an idea of how many unique beers you can expect from each brewery or pub visit:

The Kernel: 10+
A&H/ Bullfinch: 4+
BBNo: 6+
Partizan: 8+
Fourpure: 5+
BrewDog: 15+
W&B: 10+
Kings Arms: 20+ (they sell 1/3s here)
Redchurch: 5+
London Fields: 6+
Cock Tavern: 20+
Camden Town: 7+

I would recommend a hearty hearty breakfast.

Cheers Leighton, bottles is a good idea, including those which I buy and stick in my bag for a later day. This is why the UK RB crew is so cool - you always get support, not derision.

I definitely fancy the Kings Arms and then a bit of Redchurch. Redchurch are excellent.

I’d love to get down for this and say hello, but I’m on nights that weekend.

Next time...

I went to the Kings Arms for the first time yesterday. Good pub. Third of a pint pourswwith a really good beer line up with a mix of cask and taps and British and forn muck.
Also went to Well & Bucket and it’s worth going just for the Victorian tiling interior

I’ll probably tag along for at least part of this. May well miss Kernel first stop though and join at Anspach & Hobday. Also have half a plan to meet up with Nic D at Grape & Grain fest in the evening so may peel off early.
