Hi all,

My brother will be in Maidstone in a week’s time.

The places section regarding the place seems barren to say the least.

Can anybody help with something interesting over there especially so that he can get me some beers.

Thanks in advance

Tomer

Hey Tomer,

Maidstone is pretty barren, in general and for beer ;)

Harrisoni is your local rep for this neck of the woods!

I hear that some people live in London so they are able to drink the beer and some people drink beer so they able to live in Maidstone.

However I did find one pub that was ok when I was staying in Maidstone for work several years back. The Flowerpot.

Best 3 pubs in Maidstone in my opinion are
Flowerpot free house with 6-9 beers depending on day of the week
Rifle Volunteers Goachers tied pub 3 Goachers beers on
Pilot Harveys pub
Of the 2 Wetherspoons The Society Rooms by Maidstone East station is the best

No real proper beer bottle shops. Supermarkets are your best bet. Marks & Spencer and the Sainsbury both in the town centre.

Thanks for the advice everyone.
Harrisoni, What can i expect to find expect to find at M&S and Sainsbury’s except their own brands?

The best bet is to look at the Marks & Spencer brewery on RB and sort the beers by date. That will give you a good idea of what is currently available. Ditto Sainsbury.

There will be some bottles of Harveys in The Pilot that can be taken away. Again look at what is likely to be available from the Harveys brewery listing.
Maidstone isn’t great for beer but where I live in Ashford is worse. I would kill for a Harveys tied pub.

Yes, but M & S mainly carry own label stuff whilst Sainsburys also has a fair number of beers that are not their own. If you look at the Sainsburys online store it will give you an idea of what is widely available in their stores. There may be more, or less, available in particular stores. Generally less if it’s one of the smaller stores.
