If you know me Leighton, then you should be frightened . Really frightened.

Just picked up another 6 bottles of the M&S Oakham Double Hopped Citra IPA at 5.9%. Better than Jaipur, maybe, better than Dobber, yes, both at the same ABV, better than Punk?? At the moment, I would have to say yes. Better than Bloody Ell, yes. So is this the best IPA made in the UK right now? I think Halcyon may still be better, but that’s 7.7%. So in the 6% range with 10% drift either way i.e. 5.4-6.6% I’d have to say yes.

Is the double hopped citra bottle conditioned?

Certainly no sediment in the bottles. I would imagine it was centrifuged. Not pasteurised.

M&S Bicester (yes we do actually have one, a food one) has two Wild Beers on the shelves now, namely Fresh and Epic Saison.

Good drinkin’ weather too

Not had a beer for 6 days.

Feeling good.

By then I’ll have ran 25 miles and cycled 100 since that last beer.

Dropped about 4lbs.

Curfew broken tomorrow.

Good work dude. Always good to take a break and get the beer hunger back.

Just picked up a load of new M&S beers in Enniskillen (NI) today including the Double Hopped Citra - the other M&S in Athlone (in ROI) has no beer at all!

Picked up 8 new beers in M&S Banbury yesterday, all I could safely carry home, so there are more to go at. The new range are all in identical bottles with identical date coders, this would probably mean that they are now shipping the beer into a bottling plant somewhere, whereas before they used Brewers who could bottle themselves. This opens up opportunities to smaller Brewers, if they can match M&S exacting standards, believe me, I have dealt with them.
