Message Oakes P admin beers 30640 º places 1135 º 11:32 Sun 5/31/2015 That list actually sucks. Graciela beers are faulty, Cucapa’s are boring. Calavera beers are ok. Flor de Lupulo is fun, but I wouldn’t say their beers are among Mexico’s best. It’s just a nice place to take a break from mezcal. You have to work a lot harder than that guy to find the best Mexican craft beers. My top four (more or less): Cerveceria MK in Cuernevaca Baja Brewing in Cabo Insurgente in TJ Cerveceria Portillo in Puebla (hit or miss) after that, some mix of Little Charlie (San Cristobal), Alebrije (DF), 19 Norte (DF) and maybe Mediagua (Puebla) and Agua Mala (Ensenada). Some brands are widely distributed, like you can find them in Super Che sort of thing: Minerva, Baja, Cucapa in particular. Otherwise, Mexican craft beer is made by Mexicans for Mexicans, so is pretty hard to find in the touristy areas. But the Beer Box chain of shops is represented in a lot of towns, and will be a good place to start any search.
