Thatís a short time, Ryanís idea to head up to Funky Buddha is great but a bit ambitious I think
Abraxas would be the must. They open late too often until 4AM.
Zekes is great--you can easily get a few beer ticks there. Sometimes the selection is surprisingly good. The prices are even better. Last time I was there all beers were $4 tax included. If that changed it would not be by much. Best thing about Zekes is the people watching, itís on Lincoln Rd. So go there. Itís the closest beer bar to the Convention Center.
And if you like German beer and have never had any Hofbrau beers then you can try those, the Hofbrau is an official outlet, and the beer is always very fresh and very expensive. Itís also on Lincoln Road.
Also on the Beach, and near Abraxas, is a pleasant urban lounge called The Room, which usually has a few good tap handles.
All of the above are on Miami Beach and easy to get to from Convention Center/Lincoln Rd area. Abraxas and Room are farther south from you, near tip of the island, so they are taxi/bike/long (~30 min) walks from convention center. If you walk or ride, take Washington Ave for people watching and general fun.
DRB (Democratic Republic of Beer) is across the bridge, on the Miami side. Itís also a good suggestion but I would not call it a must. Distribution in SoFL in general is not good, and you wonít necessarily find new beer you canít get anywhere else. Having said that, itís a cool, chill place.
If you care about things other than beer (music, fun bars, etc) you can PM me and Iíll give you some tips, Iím from Miami Beach, I just donít live there now.
