like Moravka lager. Hardened scooper Gazza Prescott likes Moravka lager. It comes from Taddington Brewery in the Peak District, and is produced by a chap who spent many years living and working in the Czech Republic. It’s a classic pilsner. Best of all, it’s properly lagered and unpasteurised.
On Monday Moravka will be on sale at the Jerusalem Tavern - in place of Bitburger. They’re trialling it with a view to introducing it permanently as the sole house lager. If you’d like to try it, come down. If I’m there make yourself known and I’ll buy you a pint.

Oops there’s me making assumptions that everyone knows where my local is!
The Jerusalem Tavern is at 55 Britton Street, EC1, London. Right by Farringdon station.

Good to see Moravka getting around the country. It’s becoming more widely available up in North Derbyshire in both its 4.4 and 5% versions. Derbyshire lager - can’t beat it

I’ve long thought that pubs that offer the very best real ale should pay a bit more attention to the lager offering. Many (if not most) ale drinkers will fancy a lager from time to time. I’ve noticed that Budvar and Bitburger turn up in those circumstances, for lack of a better alternative.
This new Adrian Edmondson sitcom really isn’t funny. The girl who plays the daughter is, however, very fit.

But is she as fit as Daniela Denby-Ashe? I’d drink a few pints of Moravka lager with her.

I’m going to have to disagree with you there. Not a fan of the eyebrows, and that’s just for starters. My flatmate’s better looking, and he’s got a head like a Toby Jug.

It’s quality stuff - and yes, there are too many pubs which major on cask ale that sell shite as their lager/stout offerings... what’s wrong with Moravka and Dark Star Stout on keg?
And don’t get me started on crisps in pubs... Walkers? grrrrrr...

Cracking crisps from just up the road from me... £1’s a bit steep but then again you pay for quality and you’re in London! Ludlow Sausage flavour are superb with the highly amusing ingredient of "powdered sausage"!
