eah, got a leftover piece of Moorebier ready to be enjoyed tonight and looking for pairing recommendations. I would like to enjoy something dark and fairly sweet.. Googled the subject and didn’t find much decent info but someone paired it with Affligem dubbel, dont have any of that home but I’m thinking something like Unibroue Trois Pistoles, maybe Gulden Draak or perhaps a sweeter less extreme IS.

What would you recommend? I can probably dig something decent out of the cellar based on any recommendations..

The Trois Pistoles would be a great choice. I think a nice Flemish Red would be awesome as well.

Ouch, too late! But thanks anyway. I ended up with a Lefthand Smokejumper Imperial Porter instead, worked really well with the cheese cutting of some of that smoke flavour revealing more of the chocolate background while still leaving a smokey and very dirty (in a good way) cheesy aftertaste.

I’m gonna try a Flemish Red next time, sounds like a lovely more refreshing alternative.
