Just won my first real medal in a homebrew competition. Took 1st place in the Beer Baron’s Brew Brawl in the Category 17: Sour Ale with a Sour Brown with Tart cherries, and 3rd overall for the Best of French Category with it. Anyone else win anything ever in a competition? There was 421 entries, so I feel a little proud of myself. |

Way to go, Mike! |
I’ve won multiple firsts for my Classic American Pilsner, the biggest comp having been the Drunk Monk Challenge with close to 1000 entries. Got me an entry into the Masters Championship of Amateur Brewing. Pretty cool when someone else blindly chooses your beer as the best on the table! |

Nice job! |
Thanks all! |
Just one lonely bronze for a mead. |
I won BOS (out of 75 entries) in the first homebrew comp I entered. Since then I have had some good scores with clean, no-fault beers, but no winners due to most of the beers I make sit outside of judges interpretations of the style guidelines. |
multiple medals and a BOS in various competitions with many different beers. gold medal in first round of NHC a few years ago. should’ve gotten medal in second round but fucked up bottling somehow. |
