I thought I read someplace of a new brewery opening in 2012. Has anybody else seen or heard this?

I’d not call Granite City a "brewery" - they tend to have mass-market styles where the initial production if the wort is done in another state and ship the batched stuff to the local facilities that finish the job - Think of Gordon Biersch with artificial insemination...

I have read that Granite does not start the beer brewing process at their locations but they do make beers there,
the Article cited above calls the Granite City location a brewery,
RateBeer lists the Granite City location as a Brewery,
and Merriam-Webster notes that a brewery is
‘a place where beer is made’
‘a company that makes beer’
Granite does make beer at their locations

There was an news article that mentioned Falling Down Beer Company as opening in Warren but it looks like the actual location is Madison Heights.
Michigan Beer Guide says their address will be 28143 Alden St. Madison Heights.

Hello! I am the brewer and co-founder at Falling Down Beer Co. Yes we are opening in Warren in 2012 (Hoping for Mid-Summer). The Madison Heights address is just a mailing address we established so we could get the business going. For more information check out our Facebook page. I keep it pretty well updated. http://www.facebook.com/fallingdownbeer Thanks! Mark Larson
