New IL Brewery Updates Thread

With all the talk in the Around Town Thread, I wanted to start a seperate thread for us to keep track of updates/information/news in regards to many of the new breweries popping up/starting/in initial stages in the area.

Lake Bluff

And even though it’s in Springfield, Rolling Meadows is one I’ve been excited about and in contact with.

I recently added some beers to Lake Bluff, but still haven’t found time to get up that way. Quite a trek from the West burbs.. need to hit some on a lazy Saturday..

Broad Shoulders has started posting pics on their Facebook page of the construction of their brewhouse by DME in Canada. Apparently, it will be the 500th brewhouse built by them.

Also, it is actually New Chicago Beer Co., not Brewing any longer due to some legal thing. Also wanted to note that they profiled my homebrew club on their website blog, where you can see me pouring samples for our homebrewers’ corner.

Here is a new one coming out by the Rockford area, I just added them to the data base.

Solemn Oath (I grew up in Naperville and I know Tim)

Is Tony opening a brewpub at Local Option? I know he/they did some collabo brews but I didn’t know they were actually starting a brewing entity.

What about Frank’s place that he and his dad are supposed to be opening in the south loop?

There were some articles linked to each via google search, but I just linked whatever page they had.

All but one had official pages.

Accidentally linked Arcade to an article.. but a link is right in the middle of it to their main site.

AS far as Local Option, it was dicussed in the around town thread a bit.

Perhaps someone who provided it over there can re-hash it in here for the sake of keeping all the new brewing stuff together.
