FWIW, I always look forward to seeing what awfulness that people bring. It is like an ironic counterpoint to the high end serious stuff. Me, I try to bring stuff that no one has had. Sometimes it is good, sometimes not. I think we can all agree that finding beers that no one in our group has rated is increasingly difficult, given that our group contains so many with 5000+ rates. I recently brought Natty Daddy because no one had it yet, for obvious reasons, and it was predictably awful. I think that can be fun. I hope to hell Kevin keeps it up. |
It was a great tasting! Thanks, Andy for hosting (again)! My only regret is that I got there too late to taste the Dorothy. I passed on the Rita’s because there were way too many open beers to try that showed more promise. I’m glad I did, only because my hangover was bad enough as it was. Cheers! |
It’s one of the things I really like about the DC tasting group, there’s really no judgement on what gets brought. All the criticism we’re throwing around is all in good fun. |
I agree. Or in another wording, someone’s 0.8 could very well be another person’s 1.4. World of difference |
Must have left my notebook open on the counter because I am now entering my ratings from the tasting, and someone wrote the following over my entry for Blue Moon Chai: " big D worthy". You guys are too much. |
