No offense, but it seems like you really haven’t thought this through yet.

What "famous" breweries does NYC have that your average tourist would want to visit? Brooklyn Brewery? Did you honestly think biking was a good idea if you’re from NYC? What bars/pubs did you even have in mind? What kind of places are well known outside of NYC that a tourist would be interested in that aren’t easily accessible via subway?

This probably has the potential to be a good idea, but you’re definitely not there yet.

I was thinking this as well. While NYC is a great beer city, in that you have access to a lot of great beer, it is not a BREWERY city. There are hardly any breweries in the city worth visiting, especially not on or within biking distance of Manhattan. So, this would essentially have to be a pub crawl, yes?

And with the wealth of great bars in NYC, you could literally do probably 4 or 5 different bar crawls all within less than a square mile that would keep you busy all day. Hell I did one in Williamsburg last week where I hit 6 or 7 awesome bars over the course of and afternoon/evening. Probably didn’t walk more than 5 minutes between anything. You could do the same thing in Midtown, East Village, Washington Square/West Village, Brooklyn Heights/Prospect Heights, etc
