By the way, you can still fill your suitcase with rum, to bring back home ;-)
I didnít search for anything special; if I remember, Abuelo Reserva was a good compromise quality-price; maybe our local friends can give you better advice...

Sorry, I have to drink all rhum and seco here as I will spend 3 nights in NYC on the way back home next week (already was 2 on the way to Panama)!

Iím so sorry for you ;-)

Istmo was ok. Beer are decent and certainly improved from time when fiulijn visited there. From shops I have only found same four Panama beer everywhere. A big supermarket called "Rey" in Downtown Panama City has quite decent collection of European beers. Some Belgian, some English (Fullers) and even some odd Breda labels.

Fullers is enough to get me to Rey next time Iím in Panama. Thanks for the tip.

German place I was trying to think of is Rincon Aleman. Had a restaurant side plus a divey kneipe side that looked like it might get fun on weekend nights. Randomly had a beer from Ankerbrau in NŲrdlingen on draft.

Seems that Cerveceria La Rana Dorada in Panama City is now a brewpub. Greg Koch of Stone is visiting there:

I went there about 4 months ago. Beers are alright. I think they have four or six beers on tap from what I remember.
