Hi!

Really looking forward to the big beer week in London in August. But when I am preparing for the trip, I struggle to find things easily in the places-section.

Is it possible to find a list with the all the best beer-shops in London, no matter what region they are located in? Or a list with all the breweries in London?

I really struggle with all these regions of London. I honestly have no idea where Catford, Homerton or Romford can be found, and I dont wanna go through all those to find the best places or bars.

I know that London is exploding with new places, but top 25-lists for bars, brewpubs and beershops would be really helpful. No matter what part of London...

Looking forward to seeing a lot of you guys in August!

Cheers
/Ronny

Hi Ronny

If you go for the beer map of Greater London

http://www.ratebeer.com/beermap?p=0&z=11<=5152128&ln=-10978

You can then filter to your requirements either beer shops or any other type of establishment. You can also choose whether to just show those that have achieved either a mark of 75+ or 90+ and you can zoom in and out for the area that you will be in.

The system we have at present is to break down what would be a list of over 1,000 establishments in London. There are on going discussions to having larger areas rather than the smaller boroughs we have at present.

In essence though, wherever you are going, the maps are the best way of finding the preferred / popular establishments.

Great, thanks alot!

I did not find that map once I entered the London-link. Gonna use the map from now on.

And I think its a good idea to make those areas slightly bigger. At least for us non-Londoners, most of those areas are not known at all.

Thanks again!

Cheers

I’ve never been able to get that London beer map to work, is there a link which shows London with all the bars/breweries on it?

http://home.online.no/~realale/Maps.htm may help in some aspects. Most of the new breweries is not on the map but most of the good pubs are there.

When I had to use Internet Explorer for a short while I couldn’t get the maps to work I must admit, I believe they have an issue with Google maps. I’m back on Chrome now and all is well and I never had any problems with Firefox either.

I’m also not a fan of how all the London venues are split into 100+ boroughs with no way to see all at once. I use the map frequently but it doesn’t show as much info.

Large US cities are also split up into neighborhoods but have a page where you can see all the places at once: http://www.ratebeer.com/places/regions/boston/1120/21/. Why isn’t there a similar page for London?

I think that is the problem, I still use Internet Explorer which has some issues, clearly time to change browsers.
