But yes, a lot of these folks are new to all of this, and there likely is a certain amount of homerism. But certainly not the "group-boost ratings so that you can trade/resell beer for more" deals that do happen in the States.

True.

We had a tap takeover at the Mikkeller Bar by Pracownia Piwa recently (who won the Ratebeer award for 2014) and they had some very good beers on, fair play. I’m sure if there are allot of new joiners here who are sampling such beers for the first time I can understand it if they have not tried other beers from all corners of the world to benchmark against.

Besides seeing an increase in Polish reviewers joining the world community, the attention paid to good Polish brewers is also a big plus. This increased attention deserves visits, trades and other exposure from non-Polish reviewers just as we are seeing in other countries. Bravo!

Yeah, let’s rather talk how a ton of Polish micros / craft breweries have become very daring very fast, passing from the "oh let’s just do a version of some "western" styles" level to "let’s experiment with EVERY STYLE EVER" really soon. Can’t judge if the hype’s legit, but what I’m seeing is really, REALLY interesting on paper.

Let’s talk about a very well developed homebrewing/beer scene, even online, even before the craft revolution/boom. Let’s talk about the huge influx and activity of their raters...

I didn’t notice a thread about that. The first thread about the Polish beer scene here that isn’t "I’m visiting Warsaw, recommend stuff." is about... homerism. Wow.
