ny suggestions? I am thinking Belgian Tripel, due to the fact that there will be watermelon and Balsamic on the salad. Ideas?

Pork belly salad?

Sounds a bit like deep fried candy floss.

On a beery note for the pork belly itself, id recommend a 4-5% bitter. 6/15/2009 5:08:46 PM

I agree, Bateman’s Combined Harvest would work well. Depending om the tripel the esters could conflict with the actual fruit too much.

I would think an abbey single, a belgian wit, or a lightet saison would be nice.

Not batemans! My god man dont offend the term bitter!!!!!!!

Fullers ESB(though mass produced on the same scale as batemans is a superiour beer) or something like stone pale ale/levitation would go well. Something that you can have a few of and not get too pissed anyway.

Your Fullers is worlds away from mine friend. I guess we can just ignore all of those awards because you’re in the UK.
