oday while I watch the Final of the Confederations Cup, I’m gonna brew up some hooch.

A short experiment I’ve been wanting to do. I probably give it to my neighbor to try...

Karo Light Corn Syrup & Fleischmann’s Quick Bread Yeast. I know in theory it will work. Completely inexpensive and may not taste good at all!

Ingredients:
Karo Light Corn Syrup ,$2.79 16oz
Fleischmann’s Quick Bread Yeast, $.99 3pk
Gallon water jug, $.79
Rubber Balloon and tape, no cost

The homebrew club in San Diego, Quaff did a club only prison brew contest. The rules were it had to be stuff you could find in a prison and it had to be fermented somehow like you would in prison. I heard every single one was pretty bad and the judge scorecards for it were pretty funny to read after wards. 6/28/2009 12:01:40 PM

I read a recipe once for something made with ketchup packets, sugar and I don’t know what eles....but it sounds awful. You’ve REALLY got to want some alcohol to go to those lengths.....or maybe its just boredom. 6/28/2009 12:09:22 PM

Getting slightly moldy bread proved to be more difficult than I expected. I bought the cheapest white bread I could find and waited for it to go green. I swear to God it stayed good for a month.

Duh, that’s the one that is gonna take the longest. eye roll Great pic attached as well.

Ok. So the more I think about it, flavoring should be added. Not gonna use ketchup.
I do have a lot of loose leaf tea. Mostly Earl Grey.

Fermented Sweet Tea?? hmmm...

A friend gave me this following recipe. Yes, he was in prison.

Approx. 1 gallon fruit juice (whatever is being served that day)
Sugar (however many packets you can get)
Bread (1/4 to 1/3 slice)
Raisins

Sounds delicious.
