Gotta smoke your own if you want to get in the Schlenkerla range of smokiness. Best you can do with commercial smoked malt is Spezial level of smokiness.

With 75-80% I have a strong enough smoke taste, but not Schlenkerla yet. I will eventually go with 100% some day. As far as the 120L use, it was an attempt to add some pronounced carmel taste. It didnít come through much against the smoke flavor, though.
