I know that there has been endless comment on this on scoopgen, much of which didn’t seem to be about serving beer through sparklers at all, but what I would like to know is, will all the beer I get in Sheffield, Huddersfield and Manchester be served through a sparkler? Being a soft southern poofter (I’ll get the insults in already), and will it be through a tight sparkler and will I get death threats/get kicked out/get so much abuse it’s not worth it, if I ask for the sparkler to be taken off.

Whilst some beers can benefit from being served on handpull and on a sparkler, sometimes I feel that the intensity from a beer’s flavour can be negated by being served through too tight a sparkler.

Ready to be abused.......

afaik any of the pubs will serve beers bez sparkler if requested. they may recommend against it if the beer is particularly suited to one

I’m brewing them all in my shed. actually they’re all the same beer, there will be 10 handpumps attached to the same cask, reminiscent of the Duff brewery operation...

in theory, the other 10 will consist of two from MAllinsons (a pale and a stout), a one-off from the Brew Co, another from Wentworth, maybe something from Sheffield, then I’m still working on another 5

if anyone gets less that 17 rates out of this I’ll be disappointed

I’ll nail them all from the cellar on the Tuesday. cos I drink them all by halves, so if I tried to do all 20 on Friday lunchtime I’d probably collapse before the Cask & Cutler!

not that there’s a hope in hell of me getting any of them rated on here...

If you go to the Quin on Thurs, ask for Hannah or Chris at the bar, they’ll put your bottles in’t cellar for you
