right then

just confirmed the visit to The Brew Company, for 10ish on the Friday.

Beers available will be Brewers Gold, Eclipse, Hop Ripper, and if ready in time, the new brew - can’t say what it is, but it’s summat a bit different

another of their beers will hopefully be in the Corner Pin next door, a house beer and a special in the Harlequin, and hopefully the rest of the range will be featured somewhere on the circuit

Most beer up North comes through a sparkler. That’s the way it is, and I for one don’t agree with the argument that it ruins beer - changes it a touch, maybe, but not ruins it.

I don’t take my own sparkler round London (or maybe I should and demand pubs put it on!) so just go with the flow! Not all pubs use them, don’t think the Cask does, and not many have it really tight anyhow.

Oh yes, insults - bloody southern shandy-swillers who like flat beer. And battery acid.

yes, you’re absolutely right. so I’ve just sent back all those beers I listed, the new Harlequin list is:

Greene King IPA
Youngs Special
Old Speckled Hen
Fullers London Pride

that’s it - can’t have any more than that, festivals aren’t profitable you know

Cheers for the bottle run Dave, agree with the idea on beers from many countries at the tasting. I’ll have a scout around for a couple more winner bottles, also must try to get to the brewery trip if I can find an earlier train over, where are you meeting up for that, brewery itself or elsewhere? cheers!

OK nice one Dave, if the doss move / spare bit of floor / couch etc is available then I could get an off peak return which works out no dearer than getting the 2 wayfarers. That way I can arrive Sheffield 0908 and meet up with everyone at the Bankers and tick the brewery and it’s beers. For the Saturday I guess if there is a load of us going to Manc we might be able to buy some sort of duo/group return if they still do them? cheers!
