Wolfie dont do it man, seriously. These beers are proper shite and can be quite expensive. If your serious i’ll try getting them but then i insist that at the grand tasting you sit along in the corner and drink every last dropevil grin

Hmm... I’m sure I’ll enjoy them wink Please see if you can get them, so my Belgians ticks can continue shocked And of course I’ll share them with you Tom!

Since I’m missing 5 styles I would be more than grateful if someone could bring (even the most common label) of any of these :

American Dark Lager
Berliner Weisse
Cream Ale
Lambic - Unblended
Scottish Ale

Cheers,

Alex

PS: 9 days left ! excited

They might be a bit difficult to get in England.

Can’t think of any American Dark lagers, not sure what the distribution of Berliner Weisse is, might be worth checking the bottle list at The Grove in Huddersfield and may be able to pick something up on the Thursday evening.

Cream Ale, I guess the Sleeman is about the only one available in the UK and even then you mostly have to get it from the Maple Leaf in London’s Covent Garden.

Lambic Unblended, you should get a bottle of one of the Cantillon’s in the UK at some point over the weekend.

Scottish Ale - almost no chance in the UK as the style doesn’t really exist here, all Scottish Ales made in Scotland are rated as bitters.

now then

executive decision - we will travel to MAnchester on the 1042 from Sheffield on the Saturday, and return on the 2143 from Manchester Piccadilly

I have purchased some advance tickets for £8 return - the first 6 people to BM me get them, if I’m oversubscribed will attempt another booking tomoro, but no guarantee the same fare will still be available (the standard day return is £15)

the lucky bidders can pay me cash on the day

cheers

Dave
