Well, there are 4 within 20 miles of Huddersfield to choose from including the 2 at Huddersfield itself.

You lot are going to be withered by the amount of decent cask ale available in Yorkshire - one of the greatest beer regions of the world now IMO with much more variety then, for example, Franconia.

There’s going to be quite a few less of us than have been at previous summer gathering, so therefiore there going to be alot less beer. Unless we all bring a few more beers each(which seems like a good idea), or else we plan to have a good jolly in the(or a few) boozer(s) after the tasting.

Any thoughts on this one? Im more than happy to bring like 7 different beers rather then the usual 4ish, even if some of them are things that people have had before but are like top 50 beers that people are hot on.

as I said before, I personally favour upping the quota per person. the only restriction we have from the pub is that we need to vacate the room by 7pm.

So I suggest get there for noon, have lunch about 1.30, then what’s people’s thoughts for dinner? we can either get the pub to feed us again either in the room before 7, or we could go down to the bar for food and more draft beer afterwards. or we could go on for a ruby afterwards? don’t think any of the pubs do food on a Sunday normally, so Harlequin is the only option for pub food.

so far we look like having 16 people Sunday, so say 8 beers each = 128 to go at.

so far there are 4 people signed up who have not told me what days they’re attending - Phil, Reakt, Grove, Hildigoltur - so potentially 20 people

Will scour the local shops for 8 good beers but can always pay someone for some Eastern European winners from the Grove if they have any baggage space left, I know many of you will be drinking that place dry on the Thursday!
